I have a question for self proclaimed Atheists?
Something can come from nothing; google "virtual particles". As you probably know, Einstein showed that a small amount of m can be converted to a very large amount of energy. A particle can pop into existence and if its energy equivalent times the length of time it exists is less than a very small quantity called Planck's constant, its short lived existence is consistent with physical laws. It's been shown experimentally that subatomic particles, "virtual particles" continually appear and disappear. The Universe has been called the ultimate free lunch. The energy equivalent of all the galaxies you can see is huge BUT if it's cancelled by the (negative) binding energy of gravity holding the whole lot together, or nearly cancelled, then the universe popped into being, will last a very long time, and is consistent with the physical laws we observe. We've also seen recently that very simple laws and processes can result in some very complex objects and processes. We're on the verge of creating machines with greater than human intelligence, just as we resulted from unintelligent matter. God isn't necessary or even a plausible concept.
