Where might a gray matter nucleus be located?

Gray matter is pretty much limited to the tissues of the central nervous system, so you're going to encounter it within the brain and also within the spinal cord. It forms many of the functional bridges and tracts in the brain and comprises a notable amount of the m of the spinal cord as well, though this amount varies dependent upon the location of the spine.
