More "arty" types getting their knickers in a knot over nothing. Salinger is precious but this is him being precious. Outside of the litigious USofA this would be a non-event....some literary interest but obviously legitimate use of a previous story. Actually sounds like a marketing ploy by either Salinger or California. Nothing should be untouchable ( in particular, beliefs ) - if a work or a belief is great it will be resilient ( by definition) and will roll on in sublime indifference. Which is what Salinger should have done, if he disapproves.
