Wup wid my computer-it acts dyslexic?

while typing a message it seems to be jumping back to another spot and continues in the middle of a different sentence before I notice what is going on. it's really hard to correct and finish an e-mail. It occurs frequently and scrambles my words wherever I type-any ideas?
